Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes. Texas law requires it. Texas HB 2102 (2019) makes it illegal for any contractor to waive, absorb, rebate, or hide your deductible. Violating this law can result in a Class B misdemeanor, including fines and potential jail time. Insurance carriers may also request proof that your deductible has been paid before they release final depreciation funds. Partner only with contractors who operate legally and protect you from insurance fraud.

Do I need to get multiple estimates?

Not usually. Your insurance carrier sets the initial estimate, and they will not pay more than what their claim allows. If you find a contractor who offers to do the job for less, the carrier may simply adjust their payout down and keep the savings.

i.We arrive early and most projects are completed in one day

ii.We move patio furniture, small décor, grills, and other items to protect them

iii.Cars in the garage should be moved out to prevent being blocked in

iv.Turn off sprinklers the night before

v.Keep pets indoors for their safety

vi.Our cleanup process includes magnets for nails and returning items to their place
